Cisco IDS Version 4.0:

You can load the Cisco Intrusion Detection System (IDS) version 4.0 software on IDS sensors (appliances and modules). The 4.0 software includes a full command line interface (CLI), Cisco IDS Device Manager (a web-based configuration tool), and a sensing component. Cisco IDS Event Viewer is a separate software component that you load on a host running a supported version of Windows. IDS Event Viewer connects to a maximum of five version 4.0 sensors and retrieves events from them. 

 

Compatible Secure Shell Protocol Clients:

To access the CLI over the network, use a Secure Shell Protocol (SSH) protocol version 1.5 client.

The following SSH clients have been tested with version 4.0 IDS sensors:
